Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the JettyGo mobile application and website (the "Service"), operated by Mohamed Alsan Azhaar in the Republic of Maldives ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What JettyGo is
JettyGo is a coordination platform connecting passengers and senders with independent vessel operators in the Maldives. JettyGo:
- Provides software for booking trips and arranging shipments.
- Facilitates communication of booking and payment information between users and operators.
- Does not own, operate, or charter vessels.
- Does not hold, process, or transmit money. All payments occur directly between users and operators via their own bank accounts.
- Does not guarantee any specific operator's availability, vessel condition, on-time performance, or service quality.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Bookings, shipments, and payments
When you book a trip or send a shipment through JettyGo:
- You enter into a direct agreement with the operator. JettyGo is not a party to that agreement.
- For bank transfer payments: you transfer the agreed amount directly to the operator's bank account, then upload an accurate, unaltered screenshot of your transfer slip. The operator verifies the slip against their own bank statement before confirming your booking.
- For cash payments at boarding: when "Cash at boarding" is selected on a passenger booking, you pay the vessel staff in cash when you board. The staff records that cash was received in the app and checks you in. JettyGo never holds, touches, or processes the cash.
- You acknowledge that if a refund is needed, the operator will transfer it directly back to you using bank account details you provide. JettyGo does not process refunds.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund policies are set by each operator. JettyGo does not enforce a uniform policy. If you cancel a paid booking or shipment, the operator decides whether and how to refund you, based on their own policy and the circumstances. We will help facilitate communication if a dispute arises.
6. User conduct
You agree not to:
- Upload fake, altered, or forged payment slips.
- Fail to pay agreed cash amounts in full at boarding when "Cash at boarding" is selected.
- Use the Service to facilitate illegal activity, including the transport of prohibited cargo.
- Misrepresent your identity, contact information, or relationship to senders/receivers.
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users or operators.
- Attempt to circumvent the Service's security or access systems you are not authorized to access.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Operator obligations
If you are an operator using JettyGo:
- You represent that your vessel is properly registered, licensed, insured, and operated in compliance with all applicable Maldivian maritime regulations.
- You agree to honor confirmed bookings and shipments, or to communicate cancellations promptly.
- You agree to verify payments accurately and not to mark unpaid bookings as paid, or to demand additional payment beyond what was agreed.
- For cash payments at boarding, you (or your staff) agree to confirm receipt in the app only when cash has actually been handed over. Falsely marking cash as received is grounds for account termination.
- You are solely responsible for the safe transport of passengers and shipments.
- You agree to handle refunds promptly when applicable.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant the conduct, qualifications, or fitness of any operator or user.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JettyGo and its founder shall not be liable for:
- Damages, losses, injuries, or claims arising out of any trip, shipment, payment, or refund coordinated through the Service.
- Lost or damaged cargo.
- Delays, cancellations, or no-shows by operators.
- Disputes between users and operators.
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JettyGo and its founder from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of others.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when changes were last made. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Maldives.
